Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire PicksPosted by: racetoracine | Posted on: September 20, 2017
Do you hear that? It’s time to check the Fantasy Alarm. The end of the regular season for fantasy baseball is approaching and with it the playoffs are coming. MLB lineups are changing and fantasy players need to start focusing on shoring up their roster sin order to take out the best teams in their leagues. Today we will be highlight a few elite players that should be available on your waiver wire within your league that could potentially help you find a few more wins.
Winning With Hitting
You can’t win anything if your hitters fall asleep at the plate. Today we are pointing you toward two premier power hitters who can do some major damage.
Rhys Hoskins, 1B – Philadelphia Phillies
As far as elite young talent goes, Rhys Hoskins is among the very best. Hoskins has made a name for himself at Double A and Triple A over the past two years. He has elite power potential at the plate and he has shown it at every level of the Minors. We expect Hoskins to fill in a valuable role with Philadelphia before the season ends.
Kennys Vargas, 1B – Minnesota Twins
If Minnesota is going to find success as the postseason approaches they are going to need some help at the plate. Vargas offers Minnesota a rare power complement to star slugger Miguel Sano.
Jose Urena, SP – Miami Marlins
Miami’s rotation has largely been in shambles this season but Jose Urena continues to give reason for optimism. Urena has a big arsenal of pitches to select from and a great high heater that can get up to 96 MPH late in the game. Urena is probably one of the most under-owned pitchers in fantasy baseball and he should give you something late in the season.
