Dough HaynesFor executive consultant Doug Haynes, both the human aspect and the practical and functional components of success are rare. Throughout his tenure as a management adviser, Haynes emphasized establishing mutually beneficial liaisons with his clients of a higher rank.

Doug Haynes offers counselling for public and corporate leaders as The Council’s president and the handling partner of Council Advisors. Before commencing The Council, he was successful in most significant roles. His most recent post was as the president at Point72 Asset Management. Beforehand, Haynes served as a senior associate at McKinsey & Company, where he joined in 1992, oversaw the Northeast U.S. area and invented its technology-oriented services venture. Before starting his decade-long journey with McKinsey & Company, he held software development and design engineering jobs.

Haynes’ technical background was a fantastic base for his future management consulting work. He achieved the highest of honours, summa cum laude, at West Virginia University with a mechanical engineering degree. Post graduation, Haynes advanced his tech expertise by serving in engineering and software development functions.

Haynes took a deep interest in business during his early post-graduation years. Encouraging this curiosity, he won the William M. Shermet Scholarship from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. He expressed gratitude for that extraordinary educational experience that launched him into a management consulting career.

For 22 years, Haynes offered service to a wide range of international executive clients while working with McKinsey & Company. He developed a dynamic, intellectually lively network by integrating the organization’s culture. While making these meaningful relationships, Haynes reflects on the advantages acquired from being involved in stimulating conversations at a high level.

Haynes accredits his triumphs to two fundamental standards. He reflects on his father’s instructions that even today confer direction when working with people and firms of high integrity. Haynes has been a proponent of this idea for over three decades and has seen it bring success to many people in his network. Doug Haynes is an executive consultant with a long history of success due to his commitment to building relationships with high-level clients and advocacy.
