Alliance Defending Freedom is a legal organization that defends people’s rights to
free speech, religious freedom, parental rights and the sanctity of human life.
They so through the courts with their attorneys and a team of allied attorneys
who receive training and resources from their Allied Legal Affairs team. The
organization advocates for more than just individuals; they have also helped
religious organizations, businesses, town councils and more.  

Defending an individual’s religious freedom is important to ADF. They believe our
nation’s constitution absolutely guarantees this right.  

Formerly known as Alliance Defense Fund, it was founded
by Christians in 1994, the organization defends people of all faiths and
atheists too. They protect individuals who want to practice their faith
peacefully, including speaking about it, in public, in school or the military. 

ADF also has an affordable legal help for ministries, camps, universities and
homeless shelters for want to operate according to their religious beliefs.
They offer legal reviews of ministry’s governance, legal guides and more.
Members also get information about recent court cases that may affect them.  

Alliance Defending Freedom advocates for the sanctity of human life. For example,
they saved Gulf War veteran Jesse Ramirez, who was in a coma following a car
accident. Ramirez’s estranged wife wanted to discontinue his feeding tube and
stop the hospital staff from giving him water after his being in a coma for 10
days. His sister sought help from ADF and they helped to stop the hospital from
taking away his food and water. Ramirez survived, woke from his coma and was
able to walk out of the hospital to a rehab facility.  

Alliance Defending Freedom International has seven global offices and has worked in 104
countries. They enjoy accreditation with the UN Economic and Social Council and
the European Parliament. They also work with the EU’s Agency for Fundamental
