She worked as a writer working on articles that were on high demand. Rachel accepted a job offer at The Washington Post after one year in South Florida.
Rachel had to move to Washington to take on her new job. Her job responsibilities included covering the Washington Capitals, an ice hockey team based in Washington. Rachel reported in a short segment that was aired before hockey games. The opportunity shaped her to become a skilled TV reporter at other broadcasters later on in her career.
After eight years at The Washington Post, Rachel was called to work at ESPN. She worked as a reporter covering major events and interviewing high profile individuals. Rachel was able to excel and got another job offer to work with CNN. This was the first place where she worked as a news anchor.
