Ross Levinsohn is a media and communications executive with a long and successful career. He was recently appointed Executive Chairman of Sports Illustrated Group at Authentic Brands Group, one of the world’s leading brand development companies.
With decades of experience working in media, communications, and technology leadership roles, Levinsohn has helped transform SI into a digital-first powerhouse for athletic content.
Before his current role, Levinsohn served as interim CEO of Yahoo! Inc., leading the company’s turnaround and repositioning for growth.
During his tenure at Yahoo!, he also served as CEO of the Americas and Chief Revenue Officer, overseeing sales, media and business development activities across North America.
Before Yahoo!, Levinsohn was President of Fox Interactive Media (FIM), where he built the digital platform for News Corp.
At FIM, Levinsohn established and oversaw the organization that became one of the most visited media properties in the world including MySpace, IGN Entertainment and FoxSports.
At Sports Illustrated, Levinsohn leads the magazine’s reinvention as a multi-branded digital platform across print, video, audio and social media. He is working on expanding the reach of the iconic sports brand and creating new ways for consumers to experience Sports Illustrated content across multiple platforms.
The sports Illustrated CEO plans to strengthen the magazine’s relationships with key partners while ensuring its editorial standards remain among the highest in journalism.
The sports Illustrated CEO has also served as Executive Vice President at Guggenheim Digital Media and Executive Vice President of Global Media & Distribution at Vivendi Universal. He has also held executive positions at Alta Vista, CBS Sportsline, Ticketmaster and Times Mirror Magazines.

He is working to revolutionize the publishing business by taking the Sports Illustrated brand in new directions, while remaining loyal to its original mission.
