ROBERT KRAFT, Founder, Chairman, And CEO Of The Kraft Group

Roberts Kraft is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of The Kraft Group. Robert has over 50 years of experience in the food business, including time spent with a delicatessen in his college days in Philadelphia and owning one of New England’s most prominent clothiers.

He founded The Kraft Group, which employs some 5,000 people. Robert is also president and chairman at Cargill Incorporated. Robert has been particularly active in his community, supporting and funding organizations for cancer research, kidney disease research, the Meals on Wheels Association of America, and local charities. Robert also supports a variety of local colleges and university programs by donating to their annual fund drives.

Robert Kraft was born and raised in Brookline, Massachusetts. After attending high school at the Park School of Brookline and playing soccer for his high school team, he attended Columbia University in New York City. While at Columbia, he played on the soccer team as a defender. After graduating from Columbia with a Bachelor of science, he attended the University of Pennsylvania’s prestigious Wharton Business School, where he earned his MBA.

Robert Kraft began his career with the Rand-Whitney Group, a large clothing manufacturer based in New York City. After learning about the business and enjoying it, Robert left the Rand-Whitney group to become a partner in the family-owned and operated business, Apparelnbags. Robert Kraft bought several Boston radio stations, including WITS (FM) and WROR, then sold them for large profits.

Robert Kraft is one of New England’s most active and generous donors. He has been personally involved with several community-oriented organizations, including The Greater Boston Food Bank, the American Kidney Fund of Massachusetts, The Belmont High SchoolThe American Cancer Society, and several local charities.
